![]() My builds kept initially failing the update (deploy) step with the following message: Rather than adding more shell steps to the Jenkins job (and not wanting to add maven into the mix), I decided to just create a quick Ant script – I even found a Google sample one. I wanted to add some Java code to the application, and quickly realized the Jenkins job needed to change to perform a compile before uploading to AppEngine. I have a set of Jenkins jobs that just used the appcfg.sh commands directly to set the app’s version string and update/deploy the app to AppEngine. I have a Google App Engine app that for some time now has just served static content.
